PoolX, developed by WaterX, is designed to detect leaks in swimming pools by monitoring the water level and taking into account the natural dehydration of the pool water. To enhance its functionality, PoolX is connected to both Amazon Sidewalk and Wi-Fi networks.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
By connecting PoolX to your home Wi-Fi network, you enable it to transmit data, receive updates, and interact with other devices or services on your local network. This allows you to access the data collected by PoolX and receive alerts or notifications on your smartphone or computer when it detects a significant drop in the pool water level or a potential leak. Wi-Fi connectivity also enables you to control and configure the device remotely.
Amazon Sidewalk
Amazon Sidewalk is a low-bandwidth, long-range network that connects compatible devices across your neighborhood, extending the range of your device’s connectivity. When PoolX is connected to Amazon Sidewalk, it can have a more extended range for communication with other Sidewalk-enabled devices, such as smart home hubs, sensors, or Echo devices. This can enhance the overall capabilities and reach of PoolX, allowing it to communicate with other devices even when they are located further away from your pool.
