  • This includes low-power components such as microcontrollers, sensors, and other hardware components optimized for low-power consumption.
  • DripX supports a range of protocols such as Z-wave, LoRaWAN, or other wireless communication protocols that enable low-power and long-range communication between devices.
  • DripX stands out in incorporating AI and machine learning into its technology. DripX has developed algorithms and models that enable their devices to analyze and understand data patterns, make predictions and recommendations, and adapt to changing conditions. This enables more intelligent and automated decision-making, as well as improved predictive maintenance and other applications.

Edge computing

It is DripX‘s main technology advance to use Edge computing solutions for practical device development. Edge computing is revolutionizing the way we process and analyzes data in the IoT space. By bringing data processing and analytics closer to the source, edge computing has enabled real-time decision-making, lower latency, improved security, and reduced network congestion. These benefits make edge computing by DripX well-suited for a wide range of IoT applications, including smart cities, industrial automation, and autonomous vehicles.

Edge computing involves processing and analyzing data closer to the source, such as on the device itself or a nearby gateway, rather than transmitting all the data to a central cloud-based server for analysis. This approach can reduce the amount of data that needs to be transmitted over the network, which can help to conserve battery life and reduce network congestion.


  • DripX uses low-power protocols for its devices such as Z Wave and LoRaWan. Z-wave is a wireless communication protocol specifically designed for home automation applications. It operates on a low-power mesh network, which enables devices to communicate with each other and with a central hub, such as a smart home controller.
  • LoRaWAN is another low-power wireless communication protocol designed for long-range IoT applications. By using LoRaWAN, devices can operate on low-power batteries for extended periods of time, making them ideal for applications such as smart cities and environmental monitoring.
  • Using low-power components, such as microcontrollers and sensors optimized for low power consumption, can also help to extend the battery life of IoT devices. These components are designed to consume very little power, which enables devices to operate on small batteries for extended periods of time.

Since 2018, I have been working on the development of DripX™, a device that detects toilet leaks and alerts homeowners to prevent water waste and save money on their water bills. Over the course of this project, I have faced numerous obstacles and challenges that have required me to innovate new technologies and solutions.
At the outset, I identified the need for a device that could help homeowners detect and address toilet leaks, which can be a major source of water waste. I began by researching existing solutions and technologies, but quickly realized that there were few options available that were reliable and affordable.
Undeterred, I started experimenting with different sensor technologies and software solutions to develop a prototype for my device. However, I soon encountered several technical challenges, such as sensor accuracy, power management, and connectivity issues.
To overcome these challenges, I had to innovate new technologies and solutions, such as developing custom algorithms for detecting leaks and improving sensor sensitivity. I also had to work closely with hardware and software.
Despite these challenges, I remained committed to the project and continued to refine and improve the device.
Today, I am proud to say that DripX™ is a reliable and affordable solution that helps homeowners save money and conserve water by detecting and addressing toilet leaks quickly and easily. Today, the company that I founded to develop DripX™ has grown significantly, with 20 employees working tirelessly to improve and innovate our products. Welcome to the DripX family! You’re about to take a significant step towards smarter home maintenance. DripX utilizes advanced AI and ML technology to monitor your toilet for leaks, providing instant alerts through the Nolix app. Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1: Placement for Initial Setup

  1. Place DripX on a Table: Start by placing your DripX device on a stable, flat surface. This position is crucial for the initial setup phase.

Step 2: Download the Nolix App

  1. Get the Nolix App: Search for and install the Nolix app from either the iOS App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Sign Up or Log In: Open the app, sign up for a new account, or log in to an existing one.

Step 3: Activate Your DripX Device

  1. Activate with the Magnet: Use the supplied magnetic switch by hovering it near the dot on the DripX logo. A blue LED light will indicate that the device is turned on and ready for setup.

Step 4: Follow the Nolix App Installation Guide

  1. Connect DripX to the App: In the Nolix app, add your DripX device following the step-by-step installation guide. This process includes connecting your device to your Wi-Fi network
  2. Set Up Alerts: The app will guide you through setting up your preferred notification methods for leak alerts (SMS, email, app notifications) and ask you to input your contact information.
  3. Device Calibration: The app will instruct you to leave the DripX device on the table for a brief period. This is part of its initial calibration process, where it collects data to fine-tune its AI for accurate leak detection.

Step 5: Deploying Your DripX

  1. Notification to Deploy: Once the initial setup and calibration are complete, the Nolix app will notify you that DripX is ready to be placed in your toilet tank.
  2. Installation in the Toilet Tank: Open the toilet tank lid and carefully place your DripX device inside, making sure it’s not obstructing any mechanisms.

Turning Off Your DripX Device

  1. Locate the Activation Spot: Find the dot on the DripX logo where you initially placed the magnet to activate the device.
